Standardised Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE)

Utilising the reliable standardised WorkHab system, we complete  FCEs designed to evaluate a workers capacity to perform various activities and tasks. One can expect the following from DR Rehabilitation's FCE assessments:

• Qualitative and quantitative measurements of dynamic loaded activities, dynamic unloaded activities, postural tolerances and specific job tasks.

• Cardiovascular testing and monitoring of workers physiological demands during activity.

• A comprehensive report following the FCE providing valuable information regarding capacity to meet occupational requirements, recommendations around facilitating a safe return to work, and possible treatment and management recommendations. 

• DR Rehabilitation FCE can assist in developing return to work plans, conditioning programs, determining need for job modifications, defining restrictions or identifying suitable redeployment options.

Ergonomic Workstation Assessments and Training 

DR Rehabilitation provides comprehensive ergonomic assessment services to address specific pathology (e.g. sore wrist, lower back pain etc.), as well as to serve as a preventative measure to lower the risk of devloping desk related pathology occurring. Our ergonomic workstation assessments cover three main categories:

1. Education to ensure understanding of ergonomic principles.

2. Adjustments to support individual postural and biomechanical needs.

3. Behavioural modifications advice to ensure long term success.

Our experienced therapists can also provides this service in the modality of office sweeps, group assessments or provide staff training.​
